GLORY AT THE END OF DAY
by
Therold Prudent
National Library of Poetry-A Painted Garden, 1998

Darkness spans across the skies
Whispering softly the end of day
The evening sun bids goodbye
Beneath a calm and peaceful sea

Far away over the seas
Millions of glittering sun rays are fading
They're kissing goodbye to the evening stars
Glory at the end of day

Colors red, pink and gold
Brings a bit of joy to life
Black birds fly to their rest
Singing songs of melody

Glory at the end of day
Oh! I love to see you die
Slowly each passing minute you die
Oh what peace your death can bring.
